Yesterday i went to Brooklyn with Mr. Rodney to visit Fiacco, and see Pat & Kyla. It was Pat's 24Th birthday, and the birth of his first modern life is war tattoo.
I woke up around 11, drove to get Rodney, and headed towards Brooklyn. Nothing exciting happened, except i learned how impossible it is to count how many raindrops are on a windshield at one time. I need to focus on driving when i am behind the wheel, and not every stupid little thing that is going on around me.
Once we arrived, we went into a few thrift stores, which had some cool stuff. I got a brown and yellow trucker hat that says "Vita" on it, as well as a lime green terrycloth polo shirt. I made an offer on this sword that i saw, but twenty dollars is obviously out of the question for an authentic, made in America, 1998 bent Japanese sword. whatever.
We walked to Pennylicks so i could get Mody a cupcake, and then American apparel. On the way back we ran into Lee from trash talk, which was really weird. We got Pat & Kyla, and headed towards Soho to visit a few cool shops. One of the places they took us to was called "Evolution". They sold animal and human bones, as well as fossils, stuffed animals, crystals, and other odd things. I snapped a few pictures of my favorite finds. I would love to come home every day to a human skeleton standing in my living room. The cool thing about that place was that most of the skeletal figures were once inside of living organisms.
We also went to the Burton store, a Japanese wholesale shop, and a shop called "kiosk", which looks like it was ran out of someones apartment. They sold odds and ends that they picked up from all around the world. Weird little things with cool stories behind them. After all that, we walked back to my car to find that i had a $115 parking ticket waiting on my windshield. I apparently parked in a commercial parking zone, but there were no signs posted and everyone else on the block got a ticket. We headed to crif dog for some delicious veggie dogs, and then back to Brooklyn to drop pat off at his tattoo appointment and go run around. Watched some simpsons, drank some tea, ran around, found a cell phone, returned a cell phone, then headed to Pat & Kyla's apartment to play ukulele, drink more tea, play accordion, become a catalyst for jumping cats, and be exhausted. I shortly left and embarked on my voyage back to long island only to be accompanied by the sounds of Rodney snoring. It seems like there is always something to do in Brooklyn, i always look forward to visiting my friends who live there.
